Why it occurs
This error typically results from a mismatch between the submitted entity ID and the one registered with the DLT provider. It can also happen if the entity ID was mistyped or never properly registered.
Steps to resolve the issue
1. Verify the principal entity ID on the DLT portal
– Log in to your DLT portal and check the validity and format of the entity ID.
– Confirm that the ID submitted in the message request matches the one registered.
– If the ID is incorrect, update the message configuration with the correct ID.
2. Contact Support if the ID is correct
– If the ID is valid and still returns error 4116, take a screenshot from the DLT portal showing the active entity ID.
– Email the screenshot along with a detailed description of the issue to [email protected].
– Include your Infobip account username and the full message request for investigation.
